In the big children's playroom, the youngsters are greeted by lots of great toys and

Pleasant bike rides with kids on a family bike path
The R19 family bike path keeps you away from the busy roads, leading you through meadows, moors and wetland areas all the way to Hallstättersee and Obertraun. If you are already tired by the time you get there, you can simply hop on the next train back to Bad Mitterndorf. Shorter rides take you to the ski-jump area at the Kulm, to the Salza reservoir as well as to Ödensee. Several huts along the way invite you to stop for refreshments.
Mountain-bike tours for well-toned legs
Easier tours in the valley or all the way up to the alpine pastures and mountains - Bad Mitterndorf and Ausseerland have all kinds of mountain bike tours in store for you, including via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road up to the Tauplitzalm, to Ödensee via the Steinitzenalm, up to the Viehbergalm or to Grundlsee - the choices are all yours.

Lakes, swimming & water sports
Available to you at the hotel, we have our own indoor pool, an outdoor pool with large sunbathing area, along with extensive sauna facilities.
Grundlsee, Altausseer See and Ödensee are all just a short drive away, lakes filled with crystal-clear water offering bathing enjoyment surrounded by pristine nature.
Your children are certain to be thrilled by the water slides at Alpenbad Bad Mitterndorf and at the Grimmingtherme.

Hiking with children
Above all, hiking with kids is supposed to be fun. On the Zinkitz forest trail, GeoTrail Obersdorf as well as in the sculpture park, there are lots of intriguing attractions to discover along the way. Or join Mr. Podsednik, the hotel manager, for an outing to the ski jumping hill at the Kulm, where he will give you an exclusive personal tour of the facilities.
The Tauplitzalm, with its magnificent Alpine Meadows, a hut village and six mountain lakes, is always worth a visit. For kids, as well as hikers who want to take things a little easier, there is also a so-called "tractor train", which invites you to hop aboard for a ride through the alpine pastures. Families with bigger children can look forward to magical mountain experiences conquering the summits and via ferrata trails, with lots of mountain huts to choose from whenever you are in the mood to take a break.
